FALL HYDRANT FLUSHING

BMU will start fall hydrant flushing on September 19th until approx—Oct. 4th.

This can temporarily cloud the water. We recommend that customers wait to run laundry until the water runs clear.

Benefits of Hydrant Flushing:

1. Improved Water Quality - Flushing hydrants removes residue from the main pipe system for clear water.

2. Fire Safety and Fire Rating - BMU tests the flow of the hydrants to ensure they are adequate to pump to the city's fire tanker.
